Frequently asked questions
- What does “Service disruption” mean?
- Part of a line isn't running normally, for example no trains between two stations while shuttle buses run. The alert text says exactly which section is affected.
- What's the difference between a disruption and planned work?
- Disruptions are happening now, often without warning. Planned work is scheduled in advance, such as overnight or weekend closures, and shows its next start time.
- Can I get notified when my line or station has a problem?
- Yes. Turn on alert notifications for a subway line, route, stop or station, or for any elevator outage.
Alerts come from the TTC's live service alerts and refresh every minute. Slow zones are sections where subway trains must run below normal speed while track work is done.
